The Midnight Club is a podcast designed for those of us who spend several hours per week training for events, many times sacrificing time from friends, family and work, and are happy to just be out there, giving it their all, despite not reaching a podium finish, or sometimes not finishing at all. The origin of the name comes from the original structure of an Ironman race. Participants would start at 7 am and have 17 hours to complete the course by midnight. While I find inspiration by well accomplished endurance athletes, and try to follow their example, I also find motivation by the average athlete that has put in so much work just to participate in an event. I still would love to interview people who have and are accomplishing great things. However, I also want to talk to regular folks many of us have not heard of, and get their stories, too.

Clint and (not) Kelly are joined by a friend from across the pond: Craig Hamilton. Craig is an avid rugby player, a French teacher and now, an endurance athlete. Most recently he completed the 4x4x48 Challenge, running 4 miles every 4 hours for 48 hours.
Monsieur Hamilton discusses the steps he’s taken to live a healthier lifestyle and how he feels being over 50 pounds lighter since Autumn of 2020.
Check out his groovy accent as well as the full and half Ironman distance triathlon his colleague puts on, The Lakesman. I hope to be enduring the race front and center the next time it rolls around next June 2022.
